It really was the first time since 2011 that we have been able to physically and economically just take off as a family for the weekend and head north. We are in a bit of a weather holding pattern here at home. Spring is here, but the ground is covered with snow again here in southern Minnesota. Has the maple sap running again. But no garden clean up taking place for a while now until things thaw and dry out a bit again.
The kids were as good as they ever have been in the car. A long drive on Friday, Duluth waterpark on Saturday with wonderful friends, and then a full day of driving and walking on Sunday looking at property and seeing more friends.
Had an early dinner on the shore of Lake Superior and let the kids run around and stretch inside this establishment.

And we came home to, and drove through, a blizzard coming back.
This weekend I will be at a grape vine pruning and propagation seminar. Plants are happy under the grow lights in the basement. Planting time is coming. Just not here yet.
