Still Just Moving Along

I had to go through the squash I have not yet processed.  Lost 2 German Maxima, and three of the Baby Vi Mochata.  Honestly, for getting all the way to February, that is not too bad.  Still have a couple of crates of squash left for eating fresh, and really just need to process down a lot of it in the dehydrator.

There are a few Thelma Sanders Pepo squashes in there as well, and none of them have started to go.  For a soft skinned squash they keep fantastically well.

The Flat Leaf Italian parsley is showing second leaves now.   At some point soon I am going to need to pot up a flat of it so they are in individual pots.  Both Dwarf Blue Scotch and Red Russian kale is all up, but still just the first leaves.

Other than that, I am just trying to sort through things.  My seeds, over the course of last year, found themselves spread out and mixed up with all kinds of things.   I even found packets of things I never planted.  There is quite of bit of old seed here and there as well.  I found over a quart of various types of beans 4+ years old, of which I have much newer stock, so they all went into the general bean soup bin.  Three year old basil seeds I did a test planting of to see if the seeds are still good.  Generally I do not start basil until I start late plantings of tomato plants, but thought what the heck. If they do not grow, I get new seed, if they do grow, I can see if I can keep them ruly by trimming them, and if not, will just eat it.

I have all of the tomatoes I increased last year sorted and in one bin.  Another is all beans saved from last year for planting.  Maybe was too much time on my feet.  We will see how tomorrow goes as far as my back and leg.  If I am up to it I will keep going through it all, and maybe get some more test plantings of older seeds.
