Kleffman Apples Again

So, though I messed up and once again did not get around to reproducing my tree, it did give us a happy amount of apples this year.

I probably should have picked them a week ago.  Have been eating them off the tree for a month, as they were ripe mid September, and now we have a lot that fell to the ground and were bruised up.  Still taste great though.

Besides the Kleffman apple tree, we have a Cortland in the yard as well.  Just for comparison, there is an average sized Kleffman, and a really large Cortland.  Maybe 20% bigger.

Kleffman’s on the left, Cortlands on the right.

I really am looking forward to creating an orchard out of these on the farm we bought up north.  Another project to plan for.
