On our way home from cousin Grace’s graduation party, we took a short detour down Ferndale Road, which is all huge, multimillion dollar lake homes. Many of which, as I have stated before, are a lot more “lakey” than I am sure they would like them to be.
Here is a soft shelled turtle in someone’s yard.
Water runs over the road in a couple of places. <grin> This running water connects a few neighbor’s yards.
This is us, parked in water, on the road, looking across at a house sitting in the middle of the lake. Weeds floating in the yard. Driveway under water.
Sort of ironic, that these properties are traded back and forth for $10,000 – $36,000 a linear foot of shoreline. Now there are a lot of big trucks parked at the homes, pumping water out of them.
Anyway. Just a curiosity.
