Having A Minnesota Winter

So it has been cold.  We have seen colder, but cold enough that they have canceled school on multiple occasions due to, well, it being cold.  My body is doing much better, and even putting in some time at the office, but I do not trust it to typical winter activities yet as falling is a bit of a worry yet.

So we have been spending time at The Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley.  Tropics trail there lets you escape from the snow and ice, and pretend that you really are somewhere tropical.

But winter also has its own bounty when you embrace it.  Easiest fishing time is then, and my brother Matt has been fishing a lot on the lake close to where we live.  Each time he goes out, he brings us by a bucket of fish which is a lot of fun, and about as fresh as a fish meal gets.

Hard to find winter fare that tastes better than iced sunfish.  <grin>

Awesome! I’m frequently jealous of the agrarian life you live, but not the pain you have been going through!
