Deer finally started moving around today (Monday) so third day was the charm. Shot her this morning, my dad dragged her out of the woods, Phoebe and Claire helped me field dress her, I cooked a huge meal of venison stew, Patti drove down with Nell and Baby Vi to pick us up, we all had a big dinner, packed up, and were home by 730. We will get this deer all processed tomorrow and packed away, then Patti will probably get me back down there for some more hunting later this week. It feels good to know that we have a deer for the winter, and, if all works out well, there will be a few more before the season is over.
