Christmas Open House & Free Seeds

So, though I am not feeling great at the moment, by the time Christmas actually is here I have high hopes that my back is feeling ok, and my leg is working.  Yesterday was a cortisone shot into the right facet in my low back, which hurts like hell now, but should feel right as rain in 5 or 6 days.

In preparation for our annual open house (and yes, anyone is welcome to stop by) I have two gallons of cranberry sauce cooking down on the stove right now.  This is one of those things I can make well before hand so I thought I would get it out of the way.  Dinner is going to be a turkey roasted with potatoes and carrots, along with a lot of Minnesota wild rice, couple of squash dishes, lots of cranberry sauce, drinks (though you are welcome to bring your own drinks or drinks to share, we won’t complain) and whatever else I feel like making between now and then.  Our door is open at 10 am Christmas morning and it will stay open to anyone who wishes to stop by until probably 10 at night at which time we will collapse into a well deserved slumber.

If anyone wishes, I am happy to dig out seeds if there is something you want to try.  No charge, but not handing out POUNDS of stuff.  (grin)  Enough to give whatever I have a try though.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all of you out there.  Another year is coming up quick!  Time to start thinking about getting the long season peppers and onions started inside.
